2012 National Heritage Fellowships Concert

On October 4, 2012, the NEA National Heritage Fellowships Concert took place at the George Washington University Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC. Emceed by American Routes host Nick Spitzer, the concert celebrated the 2012 recipients of the NEA National Heritage Fellowship, the nation's highest honor in the folk & traditional arts. The 2012 recipients are dobro player Mike Auldridge, dog sled and snowshoe designers Paul & Darlene Bergren, shipwright Harold Burnham, folk arts advocate Al Head, tejano accordion player Flaco Jimenez, Okinawan dancer Lynne Yoshiko Nakasone, Passamaquoddy basketmaker Molly Neptune Parker, Tidewater gospel quartet The Paschall Brothers, and klezmer clarinetist and mandolinist Andy Statman.
