Arts Participation

Since 1982, the NEA’s Survey for Public Participation in the Arts (SPPA) has been the largest, most representative survey of adult patterns in arts participation.   In addition, the NEA continues to be a leader in arts participation research through efforts such as the Annual Arts Basic Survey (AABS), periodic analysis of measurement tools for arts engagement, and a variety of studies on arts education and early childhood arts participation.
