PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT GRANTS

Grant Program Summary

The National Endowment for the Arts’ (NEA) State & Regional Partnership Agreement grants are awarded to the nation’s 56 state and jurisdictional arts agencies (SAAs), and the six regional arts organizations (RAOs) with geographically-defined SAA memberships. Partnership support is also available for national services to the state arts agencies.

Eligibility

SAA Partnership Agreement grants are limited to the fifty state and six jurisdictional arts agencies.

RAO Partnership Agreement grants are limited to the six U.S. Regional Arts Organizations.

The National Services Partnership Agreement grant is limited to non-profit organizations that have a three-year history of arts programming as a membership organization serving state arts agencies and regional arts organizations.

No other organizations may apply to the Partnership Agreement grants category.

How to Apply

Submitting an application is a multi-step process. Detailed instructions on how to complete and submit the application package can be found in the Application Instructions PDFs above.

1. REGISTER with Login.gov, the System for Award Management (SAM) at SAM.gov, and Grants.gov or renew/verify these registrations. Download the Registration Guidance PDF. Registration can take several weeks.

2. SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION

    Clicking the link below will take you directly to the pre-populated 
    Grant Opportunity Package in Grants.gov.

After clicking the link above: 

  • The Grants.gov “View Grant Opportunity” screen will open, click the red “Apply” button. To create the Workspace application, you must be logged into Grants.gov with a participant role of either Workspace Manager or Authorized Organization Representative (AOR).
  • Create a Workspace application:
    • Fill in the Application Filing Name field with your organization name, then
    • Click the Create Workspace button.
  • Go to the Manage Workspace page, where you can begin working on the application.
  • After accessing the Grant Opportunity Package, you can find each required form by clicking on it OR you can scroll down your screen and you will come to each form in succession. The required forms are:

1. Application for Federal Domestic Assistance (“SF-424 Mandatory”): This form asks for basic information about your organization and application. Complete this form first. Data entered here will populate fields of other forms where possible.  

2. Disclosure of Lobbying Activities (SF-LLL) 

3. Attachments Form: Use this form to attach your application narrative and other required items. All required items must be submitted for your application to be considered complete.
