Nation-To-Nation Consultation

11:00 am ~ 12:00 pm PT

On October 26, the NEA will hold a tribal consultation to gather input from tribal leaders on the needs and concerns of tribal communities as related to NEA resources and grants, to provide an update on NEA’s engagement with Native cultural leaders and tribal-serving organizations, and to inform our work related to the Executive Order on Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government. We will also be seeking consultation on a possible legislative proposal which would give tribal entities the ability to subgrant NEA funds.

The NEA’s Tribal Consultation Policy and a draft detailed agenda are available on the agency’s website. A  framing document includes information on agency activities and questions that will guide the October 26th conversation, and other relevant supplementary materials.
