Community Art: A Look at Public Art in America

Focus: HOPE through the Eyes of DonRico Hawkins

By Adam Kampe

DonRico Hawkins, Jr. is a seventh-grade student in Focus: HOPE's Excel Photography program in Detroit. In this short video, Hawkins discusses a few of his pictures and why he loves photography. We also get to see images of other participants in the program whose work was displayed on abandoned buildings and homes as part of the students' Excel experience.
