On July 15th, a special event was held in the US Capitol to honor members of the National Council on the Arts. Senators Lamar Alexander, Dick Durbin, Harry Reid, Rick Santorum, Paul Sarbanes, and Gordon Smith attended the reception hosted by Bob Bennett in the Mansfield Room -- as well as Representatives Cass Ballenger, Norm Dicks, and John Mica. The Piedmont blues that filled the room was provided by NEA National Heritage Fellow John Cephas and Paul Wiggins.
